Thanks for the reply craig, im hoping theres a few good stalls there so i can get my hands on some new toys. Any idea on how much the average donation is? I dont want to look like a greedy sh*t and donate less than everyone else usually does. Ive never been so dont have a clue.

i am planning on getting all the gauges, knocklink and apexi ecu but im running low on cash as ive just bought the car and the rebuild + all labour is costing me just over £8000. where is the best place to get the octane booster and what price? i think ill run the engine in with the booster and get a remap once simon at japerformance thinks its ready for it.
-
as far as i know its api engines that r doing the rebuild and im getting strenghtened con rods, pistons for an 99sti, lightened flywheel, racing bearings, uprated crank and ported head. my cars a 93 import wrx.

welcome to the forum m8
-
wondering if anyone has any opinions on which is best? im not to sure as this is the first scooby i have owned. the engine is away getting fully rebuilt and i dont fancy another detonation.
-
hi folks, ive won my case with the garage they have agreed to give me £1000 towards my shiny new fully rebuilt engine which is fully uprated. i should have the car back within a month. Japerformance in ellon are going to do all the work on the car for me, so im happy with the result even though its still going to cost me a couple of grand. cheers steve
-
sorry for your loss mate my thoughts are with you and your family
-
i won my case with the garage. thanks

yes mate i dont think i know you but if im in peterhead at any time and see you ill stop for a chat, mines is a silver k looks standard just now but wont when i get my own way with the wife haha. -
just to let everyone know u can win an argument with a garage. i have settled with them that they pay the labour to rebuild my car and i buy the uprated parts. a massive thanks to simon at JAPERFORMANCE in ellon for genuinely helping me out and you probably guessed where the rebuild is taking place. i have 100% faith in simon as do others ive heard from and i will be posting again on how it goes. i will see some of you when i get the car back at meets. take it easy kids. cheers steve
-
hi folks, i should find out today whats happening with my car. if i do i will put a post on here and just like to say thanks again for all the replies and help you have given me. i would have probably just rolled over and payed for the rebuild myself without the aid of fellow scooby drivers. CHEERS
-
i am very grateful to everyone who has replied to this post, the good news is i have not been put of scoobys at all and whatever the outcome you will at some point see me at 1 of the meets, i may be bald with stress but i will be there lol. i was under the impression the CAB were the dogs nuts as after the 30th of this month they are going to take the garage to court for me if the issue has not been resolved. i would prefer to resolve it amicably but if going the whole way is the only way i say bring it on ha ha.
-
ill def keep you informed, it appears it has melted a piston. i have a funny feeling it was not remapped for uk fuel even though i was told it was, i never put petrol in it there was already half a tank. the CAB seem to think i have a strong case but if the garage keep refusing me a refund i have no idea how long it will take to get the cash back. anyone know or had similar problems? when i do get it back i will be looking for a wrx in the range of £5000 so if you know any good motors for sale let me know please, as i need a car due to havin 2 kids. cheers
-
i need help folks, i bought a 93 wrx from a garage and on the journey home it died, i am aware of the sales of goods act 1979 and have written a letter to the garage asking for a full refund, i have also sent a letter to the CAB. during a phonecall asking for my refund the owner starting shouting and swearing at me and refusing me the refund to which i replied ill see you in court then. He then proceeded to offer me a car of same value as u prob guessed i told him no i wanted the refund. He still refuses to give me my money back. i only had the car for 20 mins driving a 8 mile stretch of road when it blew up, in the back i had my 2 year old daughter so the car never went over 60mph.
-
ye im looking at about £5000 ish.
-
hi folks im on the lookout for a wrx. i have decided to go for a full refund from the garage i bought mine from even though they have refused to give me it, i have bn advised by the cab and they say my case is really strong and if nd be will take it to court. so if u could send me pics of ur cars ill reply as soon as i get the chance. cheers
-
hi folks anyone know this car from aberdeen? if so please get in touch and let me know if u know anything about it. cheers
-
hi since im goin to be gettin a full rebuild id like to be able to keep an eye on whats happenin under the bonnet. which gauges and pods would u recommend and where best to purchase them. i would also like to modify the cars performance what is the best parts for strong performance and reliability? it has a k&n induction kit and a stainless exhaust.
