  1. Yeah, I know, just the banter My boost gauge isn't working right though. It goes when the car is started from cold and the needle responds when I rev the car, however, after about 3 minutes, the needle sits on the zero and doesn't move till I hit boost. It then shoots up and registers and drops back to zero whne I drop off. Dunno if its the gauge or the car or a connection. Oh yes!
  2. Yeah, one possibility is that it may not have been him, only someone that looked like him
  3. Welcome mate, the wagon is my favourite from your collection. Enjoy your stay.
  4. Yeah, I was thinking that too, but that is not to say that the hatchback looks good, its to say that the saloon looks even more hideous.
  5. Hi folks. I have purchased a set of Defis and I was wondering about fitting. I already have a set of gauges fitted (coming soon to a for sale section near you). The gauges are Oil Temp, Boost Pressure and Oil Pressure as are the Defis. The original gauges are fitted directly to the sensors so I was wondering if its possible to leave all of that in place and simply fit the Defis to the existing wiring. Cheers! JW
  6. Nice one, glad you got it sorted without it costing you a million!
  7. Didn't anyone notice? 1/4 Master has changed the topic title, hasn't he, or am I just losing it (losing more of it!)?
  8. I have that effect on my car, cept mine's is Cuprinol
  9. Yes, you can get the Ferrodo pads for the WRX. I used them for daily driving and the track and they were good. Nice to meet you today! The Trendy One
  10. I'm waiting on a price, I may also contact Kenny Brown at Hillington see if he can fit me in, this is a job for the pros, I'm not touching taps nor am I taking off hubs. But many thanks for all the advice and offer of help, much appreciated
  11. Hahaha! First time I have ever heard that term - funny.
  12. Yeah, I agree with that. People with plastic faces... what does that even mean? I have come face to face with many members on here through the things that we do - events track days etc. and I can only say that they are a good bunch of people. Ho hum!
  13. Well said, and keep the daft questions coming, we need to keep the banter going :)
  14. Might be a bit quiet at times, but its far from dead and as Stephen says, it depends on the questions you ask. I have had some issues with my car in the last wee while and I have been loaned batteries, ramps, people have sorted me out for a replacment tailpipe and talked to me for ages on the phone as well as sending me text messages to offer advice and even help etc. etc. The old saying rings true, "You get out of thing based on what you put in". Get out and come along to meets and events and get to know the characters and their cars. The experince there after is much more rewarding.
  15. Long story: I put one nut on at an angle and srewed it. That was ok, it was only one stud. However, with getting punture repairs, springs fitted, COs fitted wheels changed etc. the dodgy nut was getting around, messing up more of the studs which in turn messed up more of the nuts. On and on it goes until I have arrived at where I am now. I'm going to take a nut off of another wheel that has all 5 holding and stick it on the rear and that means I have three. I have been running with three for a while on one rear wheel with not issues, so it should be ok. I'll talk to Duncan when I am in and see what he says.
