  1. did an oil change yesterday. everything went fine no leaks. took the car for a drive nothing too hard everything was fine. a little bit later took my mum upto peterhead half way there my engine management light comes on so took it easy all the way there and back popped the bonnet checked oil was still full and no leaks. so took it easy on the way home and then i thought i better check my boost pressure so stuck my foot down at 3k rpm and took it up to 6 1/2k rpm in 4th noticed the pressure only went to 14psi and easyed down its self to 10psi i think my normal pressure is 20 ish psi. i had a simile problem last year lose of boost pressure about the same psi range aswell and it was some sensor but canna remember the name of it its not the maf i know this so any ideas would be much appreciated as i am going to fit headers this week but i canna till i sort this out cheers in advance guys
  2. cheers mate i have the one that has the the hose that goes to the manifold so just set it at 3 bar and i have a walbro fuel pump fitted but the last time i set it that high it keeped bursting the fuel hoses but ill get some new hoses when i get back from kuwait and give it a try again and when i get it sorted i can go down to andy and get a re map cheers again mate
  3. hi guys does any of you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator fitted. because i have one and have tried a number of pressures and it does not seem right and when i put the standard one back it feels to pull better if you do could you tell me what pressures you are running and how do you set this when the engine is under idle or under load????????? your help would be much apprecated

  7. what is the standered fuel pressure on a 02 sti and how high can i go on it aswell with a wallbro fuel pump
  8. cheers jimser so it just at the back of the block under the intercooler and what does the standard one look like and does that get removed?

  13. as above is there an easy way of putting exhaust heat wrap on a downpipe and what do i need to do this please a step by step guide would be helpfull guys.

  15. right this might be easier i have an my 02 sti from malta with wallbro 255lph fuel pump full 3" decat headers and up pipe k&n inner wing typhon indution kit spark plugs NGK PFR7B 4kg flywheel alloy fuel pressure regulator with gauge defi sti genome gauges (oil press, oil temp, boost gauge and controller) and awaiting a andy re-map what sort wheel figers am i lookig at?

  17. ok then so what kind of bhp and boost could i run with this vf35 turbo and is this the turbo i need to up grade to AFP 321H

  20. ahhhhhhhh right so we are coming to the conclusion that there might be some thing wrong with my ecu??????????? cheers emoe was just asking because i had to re-set my ecu once before and it was running 7psi on safe mode.
  21. yip sounds weired and if there was a fault with the ecu would it not go into safe mode i.e run at lower psi which its not it is peaking at 23psi i canna get my head round it at all. the elecs seem fine because when it died all the light came back on when i tryed to start it again.
  22. right ok guys just crap night last on the way home from work the same b road every day my car just died. came off a juction had quick look in the mirrors and nobody about so put the foot down in first gear all the way to the red line 8000rpm then a pop from the exhaust changed to second and then the **** hit the fan engine just shut off all the dials droped to zero pulled in to the side off the road try to start it again but it just was turning over and not kicking in so popped the bonnet the was no oil over the engine bay and the coolant was fine so phoned my mate to give me a tow to the garage hung up the phone and then turned the key again and it fired up no problem at all and i all so had a half full tank off fuel aswell any thoughts would be helpfull because i do not have a clue what happened????????????????????????
  23. i would like to know because i have a 4.75kg flywheel that is going in on sat with my new clutch? and was told the less drag on the engine will help it rev up quicker dont know if this is true but sounds good any way.
  24. just ordered my new clutch from them at a good price and no p and p but and a big but took 4 weeks to get here but i was not in a rush for it so i did not mind.
  25. alright guys just a quick question have any of you tried out that bp 102ron fuel yet because i have just noticed that the sell it in a bp garage in queensferry Forthview 10 Builyeon Road, South Queensferry, West Lothian, EH30 9YJ
