Without a doubt it can be, its down to the operator.
Andy
If a car has a boost limier and a rev limiter and AFR', ACTS and det are measured/monitored then a run on the rollers should be safe as houses.
They built and mapped my cossie which runs 185 GPS timed at woodbridge and is one of the fastest road cars in scotland.
It has ran pretty faultlessly for 2 years and 10k miles so cant be that bad.
I
Alan tests cars on the rolling road as do any other RR operators.
The cars have rev limiters so how can he be too harsh?
Do you think that running your car on the rollers is harder than thrashing it on the road?
Why would they lie to you?
The people that work at AVa are so far away from idiots thats its not funny.
who is this best evo mapper in the country?
Just because it has been mapped by them, does this mean that a fault cant occur on the car that leads to det?
the caused mine and one of mates pulsars to blow up too...
they just fited a bled valves and away we went, no checkin gof the fueling etc etc
Hope they are not as bad as this now?
Just some pics from tonight!
Good nite had by all especially by me and Scott M out playing in probably the most powerful street scooby this side of A Forrest.
Alan @ AVA mapped my SM4...
Makes 550 bhp from a 2 litre[H]
Not a scooby tho but a scooby would be no probs for him.
The SM4 has an internal 5 bar map sensor so you would be best to swap to a map based system
