  1. Yeah they are pretty manic. You don't see them at all. Very hard to find in Japan as well. Most type R are v5 or v6.
  2. Yeah I know what you're saying. I had a version 5 1998 type r. The rear end was very lively. 4000RPM @ 80MPH. The V-Ltd models have a longer 5th Gear 4000RPM @ 90MPH instead. The Type R is not an everyday car but ideal for weekends and trackdays. They look excellent as well. Very rare.
  3. Sorry about that Turboedd/Danterzo. Price depends on many factors such as, Auction Grade, Mileage, Colour, Auction Day, Age etc etc. To be more accurate I would need more details from you. For example, what version of Type R? 3,4,5,6? Max mileage? Preferred Colour?, Minimum Grade if car is purchased through auction. If you could PM me or reply with some those details I can look at recent market values and give you a rough idea what it would cost. Now is the time to buy 1997 model Type R's that don't require sva tests making them cheaper to get on the road. Regards, Stewart Chapman
  4. Hi Dan, I can source you any Type R direct from Japan. I have already sourced a few subaru's for some sidc members. Last one was to Kevin and George Paris. Sourced them a track day RA. What colour do you have in mind? max mileage? etc etc. You can contact me on 07877200366. My name is Stewart. You can also e-mail me on sc-imports@hotmail.co.uk Your best bet would be to import a standard car then get it mapped for uk fuel to be on the safe side. I think most type r engine failure is due to this. You don't see many nice examples in the uk. Most have been modified. There was a very nice one for sale on pistonheads and scoobynet a while ago but have not seen anything since. Regards, Stewart
  5. Sad to see a P1 in that state. What the hell was she thinking? Wrong side of the road on a blind corner ! Well at least nobody was injured and hope it gets settled soon. Cheers, Stewart
  6. Hi Gus, how are you getting on with the classis? any changes so far? Cheers, Stewart
