Hi guys,

As promised, I have now arranged a time and date for our photoshoot!

We will be meeting at 4:15pm at the Botley Park & Ride in Oxford with the intention of traveling down in convoy to the site location at 4:45pm.

The shoot itself will start at 5pm and will last approximately 90mins. The plan is to end up with a selection of group shots and at least one shot of each car in attendance. After the shots have been touched up, you will all have a digital copy provided and if you wish, we can arrange for printing too. There will be no charge for the shoot by the way... Call it a thank you from us to you! :driving:

I'm going to insist that anyone who attends meets us at the convoy point only as the last thing we need is for people close to the location to get upset by cars loitering around! I'm sure it'll all be fine but it's not worth risking it for everyone else.

Obviously the usual warnings stand (no tearing up the grass, pick up your own litter etc) but this will be heavily reliant on the weather so keep an eye on this thread for updates! :lol:

Thank god you chose that weekend, I'm at Reading Festival the following weekend.

I know the location as I took some pics there this weekend (see pics in other thread) but I will still meet in Botley for a nice convoy.

Tell you what mate, when you come on the next mini-meet, we'll stop along the way, I'll get some pics and I do a lil summink in Photoshop for you instead... a bit like Big D's avatar maybe? :D

Personally speaking (and bearing in mind that this is my own opinion and not that of SIDC or Big D for that matter as I haven't yet spoken with him about this), I think that although a commendable idea it probably wouldn't work out in the long term. Don't get me wrong, I've suggested it myself in the past (it wouldn't be difficult as I design websites for a living) but off the back of advice from members with far more insight than me and having seen how similar ideas have (in the long term) negatively affected certain other regions, I think it's best to keep things very much as they stand in terms of an Oxon web presence. I don't know about you guys but I've always seen SIDC as the spiritual home of OSC.

That said, I think any and all ideas that draw attention to what we do and stand to encourage more members is a good thing and I for one would like to see more of it! :driving:

incedentally, if anyone has any suggestions for the club, then do shout out, after all, the clubs here for everyone and it's the members that make it what it is. :lol:

There will be NO seperate Oxon website, nothing you have mentioned above cannot be done within the SIDC website there is no need for a new site.

It is nothing against you at all mate, I just dont want to draw attention away from this forum, if you want to see more of the things you have suggested I would be more than happy to get that sorted.

No that's cool! Might be an idea to have a sub-category for Photographs and Garage Reviews, Moderated obviously.

Any room for a silver bug eye at the photo shoot? I'm sure that 'Matty WRX' would be chuffed that i'm taken this rare and most gorgeous! subaru model to the woods to be snapped, as its only us that really appreciate them ha ha!!!
