scooby princess Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Whilst out washing, polishing and getting the car ready for this weekends show in cheshire, i had 2 young lads who were well impressed with the car and started asking many questions about it and the rally team - they know their stuff! one of the lads has a hearing problem and so i was able to use my childcare knowledge and experience to communicate - he was engrossed with why i was using so many different products on the car etc and why we wanted to so clean etc. When his mate went off with another lot of children this young lad stayed and chatted with me and asked if he could help. So i showed him what to do and he really enjoyed helping to wax her. Well long story short at about 11am this morning our door bell goes and it this kid asking if he can clean the car for us again! Bless him
scooby princess Posted May 30, 2007 Author Posted May 30, 2007 yep and it keeps them out of trouble during half term

Louise_Rat Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 awwwwwwwwwww you should speak to the local youth centre and see if they would be interested in having the children taught how to care for their car , would be a good thing or them to learn , and make them appreciate how much hard work goes into cars . A lot of youth clubs / centres are desperate for volunteers to come in and teacj the kids everyday things , i know bens best mate was teaching a class on how to mix records (djing) once a week , he has been doing that for about 5 years now and the kids love it
