Today i finally did it, To some of the veterians on here this may seem all minior but to me iam REALLY pleased with myself changed all the pads on the car all round by myself and with no help as there was no takers to help watch over me, and to be honest once id done one it was SO simple i found a wee tutorial online which also help put my mind at rest once i watched it a few times.

Iam not saying iam a master mechanic now but it is nice to know how to do some of the work on the car by yourself with the right tools

Well done Bandito[Y]! Many a folk wouldnt even try it and just take it to the garage (not me! if I can, I will). Now that you have the bug I'm sure you can turn your hand to anything.

cheers

Gus

BTW good job you changed those pads they look pretty facked!

Did the piston's go back easy in the caliper . What did you use to push the piston's back .Did you use any copper slip when reasambling. I think they are Ebc red stuff pads going by the colour?? at least you changed the pads your self good on you

Pistons went back easy enough just did it really slowly and watching the other pistons as i did it, they pretty much pushed back into the caliper using the old pads then it was a case of fine tunning it by hand getting them all lined up. THe back of the pads are very much copper slipped still a slight squeely though, dont know if thats bedding in or needing more copper slip as a ran out on the last pad, And yes they are EBC reds taking it easy the now as they are only bedding in but iam only tapping them just now and there bitting unlike the previous pads that as you can see were pretty past gone.

Bandit, you will probably get a bit of "squeal" with the Red stuff until they are bedded in!

Gus
