Hope you had a good time [Y] Marty. yeah, ive been waiting for it to pop anyway. think its just the turbo though, so the old wrx should live to fight another day. all round a good day. saw the mica scoob, looked very clean and not to shabby down the strip either
scoobzie Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 i had a great time today but will be spending a few pennies before i go back up on the brakes and engine but will have to talk nice to my financial advisor (the wife) lol speak soon scoobzie
nanaki Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 It was indeed a good day out. quite a good showing from the scoobies all round. The heat eventually was just to much for the intercoolers to cope though. This time though i got a nice crack in my windscreen from a wonderful truck kicking up a stone on the way there. One day i will have a day at crail where nothing goes wrong I swear to it!
scoobaroo Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 You certainly havent been blessed with the best of luck buddy [] But look on the bright side, your getting a new windscreen [] Marty.
craig mac Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 A crail on and no Fai17 [] Peter, are you ill?[] Must be on his holidays surely[Y]
nanaki Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 He gets back today mate. Being half way round the world is probably as good an excuse for not being there as you can get.
craig mac Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 I thought as much, i knew he was going but was unsure when. Hope he had a good one[Y]
scoobymark Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 the mica blue uk2000 turbo with blackout windows i went up with nanaki and some others[] That would be me, Jimser and Jac[] Excellent day out, my 1st time at crail and managed a 12.977, which was good considering the weather. Big thanks to marty and guy in the BMW for fixing my induction piping & hose[Y] thought i had broke the car on my 6th run when i changed into 2nd gear and all power was lost! Luckily turned out to be a faulty jubilee clip on the induction pipe. Guy in BMW gave me the 2 clips from his induction box[Y] Top man! Very eventfull day as on the way home i managed to loose my passenger side inner wheel arch lining, whole lot ripped off the car as i was trying to keep up with Jac and Jimser on the motorway after glenrothes There was a bit of a bang as it went under they car at @@@MPH, No damage to car just need a new wheel arch lining. Mark
scoobzie Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 hi guys nice to see u all made it home give me a shout when ur all heading back up i am looking forward to it cheers scoobzie
nanaki Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Yeah we were all quite worried when you stoped half way down the strip. In typical fashoin thogh he did his best time after he had the car fixed so next time we need to break something else. As for the wheel arch... a bit of a bang he says, you should have seen the traffic behind him swerve as this giant bit of plastic flew up into the air accross the road. i was a bit behind them as I had been help up overtaking other traffic and was playing catch up on the dual carridgeway. Still shouldnt be to expensive a part to fix. Just gonna be time consuming having to ge the wheel and flap off to fit it again. Remember to get that exhaust hanger sorted as well.
