SergeantScooby Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 All Looking for opinions on a price for my type ra, 2000 w type ra import limited edition 487 of a 1000, full electric pack, belts done, approx 28,000 miles 2 owners me inclusive, since it came into country. Sonic blue 17 inch wheels, no engine mods at all, pretty much a minter good example of a classic. Wanting to get myself a newer model probably 03 04 sti, trying judge what i should be looking at for private or trade sale. Any suggestions on prices welcomed. thanks SS
the squiggle Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Anywhere between 8.5k and 11k, if it was the STI varient probably add another 1k on top of these guess-timates. Bottom figure of 8.5k is the max anyone that does not what the hell a RA is let alone what special edition it is. The top figure of 11k is probably what someone that knows there onions about these cars should offer, as i doubt they will be anymore V6 RA Limited's imported into the country due to SVA and model report restrictions Try and source a set of the gold STI 16's and make it as std as possible, would make the car a wee bit more valuable if it was all std especially with it being a Limited Is the car still restricted to 180 km/h? KEEP IT YOU WILL THINK YOU ARE DRIVING A CAR MADE OF CONCRETE AFTER GOING FROM A LIGHTWEIGHT RA TO A FAT ASS NEWAGE......................IMHO I can guarentee you will want the RA back after a few months in a Newage
SergeantScooby Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 Thanks Squirrel, now you got me thinking, not sure if its restricted, never been on the track and i would not try that speeds on the public roads, but i do fancy just a bit more refinements than the ra has, its a noisy bugger and mainly used for commutes so not best car to be doing that in.
the squiggle Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Maybe think of Version 6 STI or a STI 6 Wagon or Version 6 Type R, these will give you all the creature comforts you would need and still feel like a proper Scoob. Test drive a Newage against a late JDM Classic STI and then think long and hard
