On this day: Jim Clark died 39 years ago

Just noticed that on the BBC news site. A true scottish legend who isn't as praised as he should be, whilst drunken ex-footballers are held in such high regard.

The man was a complete legend, have a read at the entry on wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Clark 

I think the line - "He apparently had difficulty understanding why other drivers were not as quick as himself" sums it up completely.

Why do we not have racing drivers with character anymore?
