advice,engine management light

hi guys,as said,management light came on yesterday,aft sitting for miby 6 mins idling then a slow drive,wathced the boy play football,got bak in to nurse it home half way home light went out,car seemed to be fine and still is and light off,any ideas,or are they tempremental,or is it a sign to come,[:S]also w i y,black sti o3 with yellow stikers whitburn to bathgate road yest about one,,up my bum[]

hi mines done the same and its a my00 2000 turbo i just got mines back from the subaru dealer the managment light was on they replaced the air flow meter cleared the codes and 2 weeks later did what urs did came on for a few minutes and then went off the minute i was sitting idle just top up ur oil instead i just gave mines a service it wasn,t due it but done it any way cheers  scoobzie

cheers guys.oil is down but didnt think that be the prob,anyway its into extreme in whitburn the smorn for diagnostic and oil n filter change,will let yous know what they say,,and my thoughts after,surely light dusnt come on for low oil? its a uk300 i have so obviously a bugeye.
