Need to order a brake refurb kit from the stealers and they require a chassis number to punch into thier hyper computer.

My car came with 2 pot front brakes as std, the car was then fitted with 4 pot brakes from a later classic, so my chassis number is not compatible.  Now i have sold the 4 pots, the new owner is going to refurb them with a new kit from the dealers, as i have fitted AP's from a TVR

So i need to use a chassis number from a 97 onwards car as long as it came ith 4 pots out the factory.

Cheers Euan your a star

I will pass the info on, if he has not seen it himself already.

I knew Fee had the refurb kit done recently with the kit coming from the dealers.  Hence the reason why i sent the buyer towards a dealers for the kit, if i knew there was an alternative that is cheaper and less hassle i would have sent them to that source.

I do search mate and i know it is good but this time i needed an actual chassis number. Now there is an alternative source, i now know about, the need for the chassis number is not a neccecity and indeed my thread is indeed useless waste of internet space.  My apologies to Bill Gates for a blatent mis use of his wonderful operating system and to Compaq for hitting the wrong seies of keys and to the SIDC community as a whole for distubing thier late night Frosties
