ormiboy Posted March 27, 2007 Author Posted March 27, 2007 ta for the replys guys, anyone else have opionons on these exedy units? Im only dynoed at 280bhp with 250ft torque so is there any point in uprating with this in mind? also can anyone with this sort of power report on what effect the flywheel would have on my general performance? Im sure ive a jap performance around with a discussion on this so ill try to find it. Cheers again Willie
ormiboy Posted March 28, 2007 Author Posted March 28, 2007 More info needed please. Ive had a bit of a look on ebay and have found various clutches, some at £150 stated for 92- 00 wrx and sti up to £350 stated for the same car. So both appear to be exedy units both brand new so why so cheap for the £150 one? Can anyone state the spec for the oem unit so i can at least know the unit im looking at is the correct one? Thanks Willie
cullenmin Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 If your clutch is on its way out then your just aswell upgrading. Mines running 275ish bhp and similar torque with 63k on the clock with the original clutch. Ive had some clutch slip when doing the quarter mile so I intend on upgrading soon, and whilst its out your just aswell doing the fly! I dont know of the benefits yet but theres lots of guys out there that could tell you of a difference! Rich
fai17 Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Big St3ph3n got a new Exxedy Organic and lightened flywheel for £575ish fitted..... How much was it again St3ph3n?
ormiboy Posted March 29, 2007 Author Posted March 29, 2007 I wish i had a spare £500 but no such luck![] So i guess im still wondering if anyone has fitted the exedy £160 ebay clutches and how they got on with them? the size quoted on ebay seems to be about 225mm, does this sound right for a jdm 95 wrx. Willie
st3ph3n Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 £475 fitted for the Clutch Peter. £70 extra for the flywheel. Think that was right.
