newbie uk300 ppp question

[]hi all second day of owning my new toy,,[]and im still smiling and cant sleep[|-)]a couple of questions to those in the know,,it has ppp,i think thers still cats on it,will have proper look moro at ma wurk,should they be ther with ppp?if so ill need them off,,will a downpipe replacement sort that,and also the ecu ?can it be mapped or adjisted,,or is it asealed unit type of thing?i just think it could be quiker[]and with ppp at the mo how many horses roughly should i have?ta

Well the UK300 is the same as a WRX I believe. With PPP it will still be running two cats - the up pipe and the down pipe. The third will have been removed as part of the PPP. With PPP on a bugeye wrx I think you're looking at 250-260bhp.

Your ECU can be remapped. You have to get the ECUTEK software installed on it then mapped. Just about everyone here that's been mapped has been done by Andy Forrest in Port Seton.

You'd really want to get the car mapped if you fully decat it, for safety and for best performance.

I got my WRX remapped 2 weeks ago after getting a full decat and I ended up with 290bhp and 290lb/ft of torque.

I got a wave from a UK300 atop the Kingston Bridge on Sunday evening.

Notable in that a wave is becoming a rare commodity these days !!!

Was wondering if its the same UK300 I see travelling along the M8 in the mornings and the evenings - but I suspect its not as I think today's had an STi spoiler.

You won't see me on the M8 weekdays - I drive in undercover mode thro' the week.

Didn't get the plate - first one I saw with an STI spoiler, so might well be.

thanks for the input guys,,cheked the car tody at work and as youv said it has two cats,can you put a decat downpipe on and thats it or does it need mapped again,?ive seen alot of you guys go to andy f so would fancy that aswel,how much roughly for decat and much for remap,[]

Most things mate! or I can certainly put you in-touch with folk that can if you want anything.

Performance creations is a good site (ebay shop) for reasonable quality mudflaps at decent prices.

exhaust components and stainless steel stuff ie strut braces etc.... is my area as my good mate Paul makes stuff up @ very good prices and quality is 1st class!

i have a full rodger clark straight through from snd cat loud mate my neighbours keep askin when am gettin a new exhaust love the car mate i have a hks dump valve k and n panel filter plus ppp

louder, quicker and a lot more fun![Y] but, best to get it remapped if you go that route.
