T123VOR Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Evening all If I buy my new tyres of t'internet will Kwikfit etc fit and balance then for me or are they a bit funny if you dont buy them off them? Or any other places around Maidstone/Sevenoaks who i can trust to fit them for me? Trevor [Y]
pinky-lad Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 a mate of mine uses a company on the net that ship them to a fitting place of your choice to fit them but canny remember there name will ask him tomoz for ya if you want???
baser999 Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 If I buy my new tyres of t'internet will Kwikfit etc fit and balance then for me or are they a bit funny if you dont buy them off them? I'd always wondered this....in the end I bought mine at Elites in Rainham/Dagenham - seemed to be no more expensive than just buying the tyres then getting them fitted. Also saves having the kwik-fit fitter getting his equipment on your rims [] Think there's a 'tyre only' firm that advertise in True Grip - is it Black Circle Tyres??
granby Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I did the same Barry, Elite supplied, fitted & balanced 4 Goodyear F1's for £320, couldn't find anywhere much cheaper
HOL Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 RM tyres in Medway Industrial estate are normally as cheap as the online places. I used to get 4 215/40/17 toyos supplied and fitted cheaper than I could get on the net. Two and a bit years ago, they did my Goodyear F1 225/40/18's for £440, all in.
mean greenie Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 I'LL SECOND RM TYRES. HE WAS THE ONLY PLACE I COULD FIND LOCALLY, THAT WOULD SUPPLY ONLY, SO I DON'T THINK HE WOULD HAVE A PROBLEM JUST FITTING AND BALANCING. MY TYRES ON THE NET ARE ALSO VERY GOOD.
T123VOR Posted March 23, 2007 Author Posted March 23, 2007 I did the same Barry, Elite supplied, fitted & balanced 4 Goodyear F1's for £320, couldn't find anywhere much cheaper Is that there normal price or did you need to negotiate for that price? thats cheaper than £300 for tyres plus fitting
granby Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 I did the same Barry, Elite supplied, fitted & balanced 4 Goodyear F1's for £320, couldn't find anywhere much cheaper Is that there normal price or did you need to negotiate for that price? thats cheaper than £300 for tyres plus fitting The normal price for Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 225/45/17 is £82.19 fitted, i spoke to Barry (01708527220) and mentioned Tiny & the SIDC and he dropped it to £80, looking on the website they have them in stock at the moment [Y]
T123VOR Posted March 23, 2007 Author Posted March 23, 2007 £328 fitted that's the best so far- I'm going to try these Eagle's out this time Heard only good things and not too dear
darryl_martin Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Third vote for RM tyres from me, 01634 716336 iirc[], they're near the Medway tunnel.
shiralee Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Be careful too if considering Kwik fit T123VOR... I once took my company car in for new tyres and whilst waiting for mine to be done a guy brought in his M class Merc with lovely rims...only the BOY could not seem to get the tyres off so proceeded to lay the rims on the floor and JUMP ON THEM!!![:@] I certainly wouldn't go there!!!
