nanaki Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Ok so I have just been advised by S&S while the car is in for a service, gear box repair and rear pads and disks that the rear shock absorber also has a slight leak. Anyone mid telling me what this actually means regarding performance, safety etc? Not a good time right now for me to fork out the cash to repair it. Also would leaving it a month or two result in more repairs being needed?
iainc Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 I had to swap the suspension on the old scoob I had 'cos the OE stuff leaked... I hadn't really noticed it getting worse and put down the slightly iffy handling to tyres/road conditions. By the time I had it looked at there was next to no fluid left in one and the other dodgy one was half empty too. Would definitely recommend getting it swapped ASAP (or repaired if possible?). Maybe someone who's changing their OE stuff for something better will be able to flog/give you their old stuff?
