Recommended Posts

i want to break the 300 bhp mark[6], how i can i do this without spending huge amounts and something i could do myself. At the moment it is pretty standard, it has a hks induction filter(not sue which one) and a powerflow back box, don't know if anything else has been done to the exhuast. At the moment it's putting out 297 bhp. So if anyone has got any ideas please let me know[:)]

At 297 I'd say it doesn't have any cats my old classic was on 291 with no cats, what model and year is it?

it's a 95 wrx sti type ra. if it has no cats won't it fail the mot?

pump the tyres up hard and get the engine red hot then dyno it again - it will be over 300

All for free too [:D

Forgot

yours was an import, and being an sti was probably around 280 as

standard, you probably still have the cat in the up pipe/down pipe,

(always get these mixed up lol)  So de catting that would probably

see you over the 300 mark.  As for failing the mot, you just need

to know the right person, mines fully decatted and passes....[:D

a bag of ice on the intercooler would do a similar job - if it is just for the piece of paper that says 300bhp on it why bother going to all the hassle for 3 bhp?  Just lie like everyone else [:D]
