thewelsho Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Folks, I bought a set of wheels from Brian (WRXMANIA) and I fitted them at the weekend just to see how they feel etc. However, the nuts I have from my own wheels don't properly fit the new wheels. The countersunk well on the new wheels is not deep enough to take the stud and is therefore sitting proud of the wheel face (, instead of how they should sit (A). Is this unsafe? Should I get the right studs and where can I get them? Diagram Wheels fitted
fai17 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I'm a wee bit comfuse on what you are trying to say. I would say B is the correct nut for the silver wrx wheels. Which nut came off the gold wheels?
drb5 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 As long as the type B nut is the same angle as the ones you removed, it should be fine mate.

Which nut came off the gold wheels? The B nut is the nut that came off of my gold wheels, the ones in A are the ones I am guessing are the right ones judging by the markings on the wheels. I think the angle of the countersink is the same to answer your question drb5. or close to it!
drb5 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Well i have a couple different style of wheel nuts here, your welcome to try out. Not sure if they are all full sets mind you, but at least it gets you closer to settleing your mind.... At the end of the day, alloy is soft and by tightening it up enough, you shouldn't have a problem. Just don't tighten the locking nut up too much! []
