baser999 Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 thats really sad news Trevor........was the damage really that extensive? I know the wheels were a bit skewed but surprised that its not considered economically viable to have it repaired. Can you buy it back and get it done?

T123VOR Posted January 27, 2007 Author Posted January 27, 2007 I really have no idea how they work it out to be honest- bloke spoke to my missus and said before they'd even stripped the car it was 10k! Oh well [:'(] The dilemma now is i have no 2nd car and i cant wait around until the right , erhum Spec C cough cough, comes along.... If i buy a £200 banger do i have to insure it for 12 months or can I use/insure it until i find my new baby?

Dalthegooner Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Thats really s**t news Trevor. Gutted for you mate [] As mentioned before, can you not buy her back and then get the repairs done privately. I'm sure you'll be able to save ££££'s by going through a local garage with cash []
T123VOR Posted January 27, 2007 Author Posted January 27, 2007 As for another garage- how would i get it there? From what i can gather the steering rack and suspension is gone- all the panels bar 1 are damaged- never mind the obvious front damage- and it's a subaru so gonna be twice as much anyway. It's God's way of telling me to stop pussyfooting around and get a Spec C (however I may need to check with the ol' insurance co first- I am not a great customer payout wise!...to be honest I dont even think they'll insure me on a scoob again i already pay nearly 2k ) or his way of saying get a Volvo[] mmmm but more likely something like this http://www.litimports.co.uk/stocklist.asp?inc=112 Suzanne doesnt want me to get another one- thinks it's jinxed (probably true- 15 months =3 accidents!)
baser999 Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 There's always that Hyundai - after all the bloke selling it said it looked and sounded like a scooby lol .................... and in time we might still talk to you. Sorry Trevor, I'm just getting my coat now

Trev, Do you know that Scoobyclinic will collect your car and give you a loaner while the work is being done. Don't know if that's any help to you fella? Spec C is appealing though! I know it's sh!te but these things do happen for a reason - like you say - I think your being told to get a Spec C Cheers, Matt.
