xraydave Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Hi Guys, new member in the club and on here. Only had my scooby for 4 months, getting my suspension done as I have the dreaded knocking from the rear, has anyone used AWD and if so how were they? seem very friendly on the phone.
higgy Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 If you go there make sure you deal with grant as he is the owner . thats all i am saying. Higgy
RS Grant Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 I'd guess that you've got a Newage STi then... [] There are mixed reviews of AWD Motorsport on here, some people are happy with the prices/service they get and others arent... What I would say is that they do know their way around an Impreza and to take your car there and make your own mind up. Cheers, Grant
xraydave Posted January 16, 2007 Author Posted January 16, 2007 Thanks Guys, Yes got a newage, but just WRX with PPP, went on test drive cos I was bored one lunchtime, got back to garage grinning like an idiot and out came the check book!! haven't regretted it for a minute, stills makes me grin!!
STi_Bandit Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Hey mate and welcome to the forums, Did you buy the car from Subaru, as you can normally get the rear shocks replaced under warranty, i know as the same happened on my old subaru, Just a though. Bandit
cullenmin Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Hi and welcome. I would highly recommend AWD to anyone. Just yesterday I was there for new pads, fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump. I knew my brakes were crap, turned out one of the pistons in front driver side caliper was seized. Got reconditioned calipers put on there and then. Give them a call, theyre pretty good Rich
xraydave Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 Would go to subaru, but car out of manufacturers warranty, and mechanical breakdown warranty not worth the paper it's written on!! Anyway it's a good excuse to get some coilovers fitted, and maybe the anti-roll bars as well!! Dave
scoobyseller555 Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 what mechanical breakdown warranty you got m8,as they do cover failure of shocks, not wear and tear........check it out Gav
wrxmania Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I have used AWD several times - always on the ball, good customer service, coffee and don't mind you watching while the work is done. And they carry quite a good selection of parts in stock too [] Don't forget your SIDC members discount. Brian []
