In search of the Burbble

Hi folk's.
A not to clever newbie here who own's
a 98 Wagon turbo UK non modded who is in search of the Burbble.What exhaust
system would give me i lovely little rumble without being to noisy to give the
better half something to moan about.Any help in this wee matter would be much
appreciated.

My advice is to buy a quieter exhaust and work your way up if that does not suit.

Soooooo many people start with a loud can and cannot live with the sound

I have tried :-

STi BB ( pants ) when I was a newbie

Prodrive WR Sport ( really good )

ScoobySport Classic ( like the WR with more of an edge)

Afterburner ( lovely but VERY VERY VERY loud and unbearable unless you are in the mood for it)

I am now back with number 3. but i have no secondary silencer and only 1 cat (sports 100 cel jobbie)

My advice would be to go for something like a Race Box from http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/. You'll get a rumble form the backbox alone but get a cat back system if you can afford it

 i got a hks super dragger  back box  its not to loud..  not yet anyway hoping it will when the rest off it goes on []

1 off the mate had a magnex ovel back box  it did sound good but then again it was decated to

Good idea would be to go to a meet and hear some of the exhausts on the cars. Would give you an idea of noise level and note that would help your choice.

Hi Cal just watched the Google vid greaaaaaaaaaaaaat sound [Y].I take it this is your car?.

How much would it set me back for a nice sounding system like that.

 I have a TSL Group N back box on my otherwise standard 2002 WRX and it give a nice burble without being too loud.

I dunno so much. I quite like mine on the car just now! [] Was it too quiet for you?

Plenty power from the car to play with using the Sti BB and doesn't attract much attention. It's the gearbox that makes them turn round! []

 Custom BB is loud tho'.... [:$]
