sandy_gray Posted January 12, 2007 Author Posted January 12, 2007 Quote S4ndy, get the 3.2 conversion. [] Alan - I think Colin was agreeing with your diagnoses. But you could read it the other way. The wonders of our fantastically ambiguous langauge. 3.2 whats this? I am going with a jdm spec 2.5 bottom end with forged pistons, conrods and competition bearings ,with a garret turbo either the same as on Peter's car or a gt30 and all the other trimmings to suit
AlanG Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 I really liked the GT30 when i had it on my 2.5 S4NDY. Thumping torque which brought a grin and shaky legs everytime you put the foot down. []
Alan-G Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Nae luck S4NDY. I'm staying clear of this one for the fear of colliding with AlanG and causing nuclear fusion. [] Know nought about engines but it sounds really expensive. Hope you get it fixed soon.
st3ph3n Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 3.2 litre motor from the American SVX. It's a 6 cylinder. Strap it with a couple of turbos and bobs your uncle. As used by the Rigoli brothers for their car.
fai17 Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 S4NDY...life's a bi tch and best of luck to getting a new S4NDY Proof engine.
colin_ross Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Quote Quote Alan - I think Colin was agreeing with your diagnoses. But you could read it the other way. The wonders of our fantastically ambiguous langauge. Indeed. The written word can be misinterpreted, hence i sought to clarify my position to alleviate any doubts others may have had. [Y] Alan, I was indeed agreeing with you. When I said wrong I was referring to what was wrong with the car, not with your reasoning. However, seeing as you misinterpreted it wrongly you're still worng. Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong wrong. [] BTW, sorry to hear the bad news about the engine. Greer's will sort you out for sure.

You've spelt it worng instead of wrong. So you're wrong. [] Oh good grief..... []

colin_ross Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 I prefer to think of it as we're both equally right.
steven_williams Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Unfortunate to hear about this, but on the good side think about the engine you will get. R.I.P wallet.
sandy_gray Posted January 13, 2007 Author Posted January 13, 2007 Yip just got the quote back R.I.P wallet right enough! But as you said it will be some engine to look forward to because im addicted to speed it's costing a fortune.[au][li][}]

st3ph3n Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Well there you go. I've NEVER seen one on the UK roads so just assumed we never got them. I stand humbly corrected.
