sn00py Posted January 11, 2007 Author Posted January 11, 2007 Fuel consumption [] [] that wont be a problem [H]
scoobaroo Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Cars are fine m8, the problems are usually the drivers [] Marty.
sti pretender Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Full Subaru Service History, regular oil changes and preferably owned by Scooby enthusiast. Will always may a difference when someone know how the car should be treated and looked after. Body warranty checks are also something you might want to check were done. If you see one you like ask about it on the forum its amazing some peoples knowledge of previously owned cars.

st3ph3n Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 The term "never been tracked or raced" means - "has been tracked and raced quite nicely thanks". []
Boyakasha Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Stephen as Peter has said the only problem I ever had with my 03 WRX STi was the knocking shock, not sure of any other common faults. The other problem is for some reason your bank balance starts decreasing [] Marc
z1000 Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Defo shocks but mine had 2 new rears less than 6 months ago as well as a gearbox rebuild under warranty. Now for sale, ad in the for sale section titled 2003 STi PPP Steve

Going to speak to my bank a week on Sat to finalise the loan [H] I also need to get rid of my current car (remaped mk4 gold GTI) to fund the new beast! which hopefully it wont be hard to sale.

sma01 Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 rear shockies prone to going mate, never really had too many other problems to be honest, probs cos i couldnt keep it standard long enough....modding, now thats just where you get even more headaches scott
martin_allen Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Re: gearbox i haven't driven a manual car for a while (tiptronic FTO followed by Auto Supra) and i have to say it does feel a bit notchy and does not like first unless you are almost standing still. This normal? Car pulls fine and seems to have been well treated. Also the body inspections - are they known to rust? All i can see so far is that World Rally Blue seems to be a very soft/thin paint going on how quickly and easily carpark monkeys are scratching it!
