Jamis Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Help needed reguarding boost i think?? When driving my scoob if i accelerate smoothly car pulls fine but when i try to floor it it starts ok but then its like hitting a brick wall then fine again?? Any ideas
Jamis Posted January 8, 2007 Author Posted January 8, 2007 tbh i wasn't sure if it was boost or fuel,so whats the best way to sort it out?
wrxmania Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Fit an HKS "Fuel Cut Defencer" and get it set up properly - with an FSE power valve too and a Fuel Pressure Regulator for good measure, and an electronic boost controller and a new Walbro fuel pump.........oh, sorry dreaming there. A fuel cut defencer should do the job. Brian.
colin_ross Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 A fuel cut defencer should do the job. Yup, if that's what the problem is. Do you know what boost the car is running and have you changed anything recently?
drb5 Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Clean all the boost pipes with brake cleaner. Most likely be a build up of oil/dirt in the pipework.
Jamis Posted January 8, 2007 Author Posted January 8, 2007 Aint done anything to the car since i got it,and dont know what boost its running as not got round to fitting the boost gauge. How much will a fuel cut defencer be??
