The Guru Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Trevor, Gutted for you m8. That front toe in is a bit too much on a road car though. Glad your ok. Arron.
T123VOR Posted January 11, 2007 Author Posted January 11, 2007 UPDATE!! Assessor has assessed that it is to be repaired - looking at 6-8 weeks though front Steering and suspension and rad and everything else up front! f00ked plus obvious body work (front and passenger side) Any ideas if they will be able to keep/redial my prodrive settings though? They arent a subaru garage Will they replace the front springs (if they are damaged) for the prodrive ones i have now? or will they put 'normal' ones back on Is it like for like? I had STI wheels put on? i dont wont STI wheels on the back and wrx ones on the front do I? Probably wont need to buy new tyres though as the front tyres (possibly rears) are buggered Fingers crossed everything will be ok fixing it and im back soon in my baby[] Miss you Miss you Sad? Yes!! Cheers for the support and help- ill be back soon Trevor

woody-cdas Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Mate - sorry to hear about the accident - glad to see no one was hurt - that's the main thing. I'm in the same boat although my damage is a bit lighter than yours and on the back end! Approved body shop quoted over £4000 to do the work and the insurance co said no as they said my car was only worth £2500. Told them to 5od off as I only paid £6495 for it a year ago. I am now getting a more realistic quote and going for a cash in leu settlement from the guy who drove into the back of me, so hopefully won't have to pay my excess and I get to choose who does the work. Time to mod it up a bit me thinks!! If your insurance company new about the mods you had done then surely it's like for like - did you say that to the body shop when you took it in for a quote? Hope to see you back on the road soon. Cheers, Woody.

T123VOR Posted January 13, 2007 Author Posted January 13, 2007 Went to see her this morning and to chat to the guy regarding my toys- he was understanding about it so seems ok Car doenst look any worse but it is f00ked Just wait now i suppose Trevor
HOL Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 front Steering and suspension and rad and everything else up front! f00ked plus obvious body work (front and passenger side) I had STI wheels put on? i dont wont STI wheels on the back and wrx ones on the front do I? I have found repair garages to be quite open to the use of second hand parts if it increases their profit margin, over the use of new. A BRAND NEW Subaru (Subaru NEW Prices) wheel and front bumper will be considerably more than a second hand repainted complete STI front bumper and sone refurbed/replacement front STI rims. Just a thought! []
quentin_moss Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Sorry Trevor I aint been on here for a while (pc probs) Sorry to hear this mat, if there is anything I can help with let me know? Did you get your flowers home ok?
Bluebotle Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Just noticed your thread, bad news that, hope your ok. Just out of interest were the tyres Potenza Tyres, I always thought they were run flat. I'm gonna go with a different type if the run flat design doesn't work. Not had chance to read all through this thread, hope the car is fixing up ok. Cheers Lee
