Does anyone know how to programe a key fob

My everday key fob is starting to fall to bits and my spare doesn't work. do I have to programe it or something [Y]

Hi Dan, I had mine done by a Subaru Dealer. I had a spare ignition key cut not knowing they were keyed!!

Do you mean programme as in to Unlock and open the doors?

 

if so,

put the key in the Iggn and make sure all the dash lights are on, then push the button 3 times then take it out i did it with the door open lock the doors locks by keyfob then unlock and it worked on mine and still is.

I've tried putting the key in and pressing the blipper in all sorts of different ways and still no joy[] any more suggestions please[*-)]

Batteries ok? If the spare fob hasn't been used for a bit could the terminals be a bit corroded?

May be different for the classics Dan , not too sure.

got to find out how to program the key to the ecu for when i change
mine !!!  I was told just change the ecu and it works fine, yeah
right lol two immpbilised cars !!!!

I think the batteries are ok cos the light on the fob is coming on so im guessing their ok. As for the ECU I'm in the process of sorting that out, Apexi can't wait[H]
