4Hero Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 lol, well, not exactly heavy duty mods.. For those of you who don't know, I have owned scoobies for 6 years before joining SIDC and never done one thing to them. Since joining SIDC, and purchasing my new motor in September, I have had tints done, front strut, de-resinated mid section & backbox, and now flaps and smoked side repeaters. This place is a bad influence [] Plenty more to be done next year, bring it on [] p.s. would 18" wheels with prodrive springs interfere/rub with my lovely new flaps?
G.Mac Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Peter fai 17 has 18's on his and im pretty sure the dont bother the flaps etc Graeme
jimser Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 18" wheels and prodrive springs wont trouble your flaps.ive got same set up[H]
st3ph3n Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Neil, going to 18" wheels means you take lower profile rubber so in theory the circumference should remain pretty much the same if you get the correct sizes. When I got my teins springs on I found my front mudflaps were scraping due to them being set to the lowest setting. These were scott lowe ones and the teins really do drop it a wee bit more than the prodrive ones.
gus the bus Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Quote ............would 18" wheels with prodrive springs interfere/rub with my lovely new flaps? Nope, so get buying[].......................although like St3ph3n with the Teins I had to raise the Prodrive flaps (front) to the higher setting. A 5 minute job.
st3ph3n Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 I couldn't get one of my bolts out so ended up attacking the fronts with garden shears. Worked a treat though.
4Hero Posted December 31, 2006 Author Posted December 31, 2006 I don't have any garden shears, so hopefully should be a straight swap [] Cheers lads []
fai17 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Hurry up...what keeping you from the 18" wheels that you are dreaming of[]
