Little H Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 As you can see i have placed the first few events for 2007 up but its your time for input. Can we have some input please to what you would like to do in the 2007 year for CADS events. We will hold the usual monthly meets at the Riverside, but would also be nice to do some other events. We will do the usual shows Tatton Park etc.. Would you like to do some run outs, visit some other places, different shows???? Its your input that makes it happen. Everybodys input will be valued and we are willing to try everything. Dont be shy....[]
robert_harding Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 maybe we tag along with SMACS on there event to Curborough that they have penciled in for March 12. ive been there before...cracking little sprint track
J0nah Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 A CADS day out to Oulton Park for the BTCC or similar event would be a good day. After the track day, it was mentioned then, and it was a good idea. I will also hopefully be doing another track day next year, don't know when tho yet. That would be a cracking day if we could muster up more of us, as I'm sure there will be at least two more[] Activities such as quadbiking, runs out, etc. Could the Riverside meets coinside with an hours drive out too? (Not everytime but every so often) Curborough sounds good too. Skid pan days, handling days? Then there's the usual trips that were done this year, thingies corner for the kids and stuff. Remember it's also a family club with wives/girlfriends/boyfriends/kids etc so everyone needs to be catered for. the more input the better.[Y]
*Andy* Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I think the Riverside should more of a fallback when nothing else is planned and do more runs out, the roads when we went to the White Scar Caves were great. I not suggesting a return visit but just a run out to a pub. I definately fancy another track day at Oultan, and also the touring cars. It would be nice to actually get a karting event there have been 3 planned that unfotunately have not happened. Andy

Andy S Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 "maybe we tag along with SMACS on there event to Curborough that they have penciled in for March 12. ive been there before...cracking little sprint track" Who's pencilled that in???[] I organise them and I have not organised any thing for next year yet LOL I will get it sortred and you are more than welcome to join[] What a about a joint CADS/ SMACS meet one weekend its about time we did it properly[] Some of your guys enjoyed the run today[]
Little H Posted December 18, 2006 Author Posted December 18, 2006 Ok chaps heres my thoughts and ideas. Firstly i think the meet should happen each month, the reason for this is we are and have always aimed at being very family orientated and not everyone is able to go for drives etc... because of kids or other halves etc... So we meet every month at the Riverside as normal and 'Park our cars' and chat and have a bite to eat. Then each month we also go out somewhere or do shows, etc.... So then there is the activities; 1. Tatton (both dates) 2. BTCC @ Oulton Park 3. Drive outs 4. Shows - Has anyone got any other shows we could do. 5. Drve Outs - Recomended ones, new ones. This is where we all come in. I need everyone to help out, if you want drive outs, find a route and lets do it. Want to do a show, then organise it and we will attend. Its everyones efforts that will make the above happen and thats what we want. Let me know your thoughts on the above and more importantly LET US KNOW what you want to do.

*Andy* Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Steve, by your comment "not everyone is able to go for drives etc... because of kids or other halves etc..." the runs to Forbidden Corner and White Scar Caves were suitable for families, I would have got earache of the other half otherwise who's not keen on going "to fast". Not doubt some would have wanted to go quicker. By having the monthly meet in addition to other events I think they will be less likely to happen, turnout for some of the previous events has not been particularly high, FC, WSC for example. As for shows there always Scooby Shoot Out, 10 of the best and not forgetting the NBO of course. Andy

Andy S Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 looks like some ones upograded to Explorer 7 [] All it says on the website now is March (Some one probably changed it)[] I will sort something out and let you know[]
paul n Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Anyone going to the AGM / Trackday at Donnington Park Monday 5th March? http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/thread/867732.aspx
blue boy Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Andy The idea of the 3rd Sunday Meet @ The Riverside was to enable new potential members to meet us before commiting to a full day, and to enable those who as you point out can't make a full day because of other commitments so I think it should be retained. That leaves approx 7 weekend days (Sat & Sun) for runs out. I'm sure the other members would welcome & hopefully support anything you care to organise. Bob
Little H Posted December 30, 2006 Author Posted December 30, 2006 Bob, Excellent to see you on the forum, and glad to hear your on the up. Hope youre enjoying the new car in the house...[y]
paul n Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 defo now its a bit coser[H] Nice one Steve, you on track? I'm thinking of borroing Debbie's motor for the day[]
Little H Posted December 31, 2006 Author Posted December 31, 2006 Yep, with it being so close as well. Then i can get my brakes and tires done.
J0nah Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I posted a while back about Quadbiking and I really would like to see this happen. This is the place I have been in contact with www.cattonhall.co.uk, and I'll be receiving prices etc soon. All we really need to do is gauge an interest and a date for it to happen if there is enough interest. Obviously I'm more than willing to get it all organised. Andy
