We are proud and delighted to invite you to join us for the 6th edition Mencap Classic.

This years event is designed for your enjoyment, and to raise funds and awareness for Mencap lufton College. Presented to you, by the same old crew as previous years, with a NEW style.

We believe this years format has never been tried before, 6 START POINTS, you choose which one suits you best, all controls will be marshelled, you choose the route you are going to take before leaving home, on the map we provide, (easy day for the navigator) you will also recieve your commemorative rally plate at the same time, so the driver can fix it to the car without the last minute rush and acres of gaffer tape sticking to your fingers! The control card will also arrive with the above and all you have to do is remember to bring it with you to your choosen start point.

The route, approx 80 miles or so, can be completely (well all most) on A class roads, or country lanes, or a mixture of your choice, the map supplied will be accoupanied by section of ordnance survey prints of each control and the way point, so to assist your every need, however for those intreped explorers wishing to match our ingenuity, cunning and disonesty to achieve the target milages that we have achieved, OS map numbers 182-183-193 and 194 would be useful, but certainly not necessary. Most of the controls will have refreshments available, some will also have fuel, all will have a marshal.

The entry fee for this years event includes commemorative rally plate, maps, control card, tea and BBQ at the finish, plus the customery charity auction and evenings international entertainment complete with a hog roast. Naturally there will be a bar for your well earned comfort.

We are presenting awards to the crew who obtaining the closest milage to our target milages from each start control.

There will be a few of us coming down from Essex again this year (as in 2005) & we are all booked in to the Halfway House on the A37.

Can any of you familiar with the Stonehenge area tell us if either of these is any good for a pub lunch on the way down on the Friday. Or recommend one in the same area that is just off the A303. Cheers & look forward to meeting up with you guys again.
