st3ph3n Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Welcome to the forums. Good looking car you've got a hold of. Personally not a fan of just upping the boost. If you're going to do something then do it right - get an Apexi Power FC with a map that properly suits the car. Works out much cheaper than a rebuild if you turn the boost up too much and the car's underfuelling.

4Hero Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Welcome to SIDC Andy, tidy motor you got there [Y] I'm useless with techie stuff but I'm sure plenty of others will answer your questions!
drb5 Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Upping the boost as long as you take the appropriate precautions. The gauges i'd suggest is obviously boost, AFR and Knocklink. All Scoobs come with a fuel cut built into the ECU so it will cut all power if the boost goes too high. There is usually a bit of power to gain up to this fuel cut, so it's definately possible. I have some manual boost controllers here. They come with fitting instructions and fittings. £17 delivered.
