~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Got these fitted today along with two new rear shocker and then full prodrive geo settings...............Hawt diggity ! [<)] Observations as follows :- less pitch and dive during acceleration way less roll ( almost neglible) on beds car corners a lot flat and thus mair grip all round confidence in the wet is greatly increased car feels planted at 70 mph + initial turn in is tremendous mud flaps may need hoisted up a notch they do not bottom out even at high speeds over a series of washborad style bumps look a bit "pimpier" with the 30mm drop. So brakes, suspension and power are pretty sorted for now. Very useable every day driver at the moment. I said I would not do anymore modding but cannot get Defi's oot of my heid just now..............Tried the louder exhaust route ( for 20 mins) On track @ KH on Sunday to test the car.........I hope it's wet ! CGS
imprezapete Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Cost for each items and fitting Cal? Interested in doing this to the car next.
fai17 Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Nice work ma man...might come up for a wee pax lap on sunday[]
st3ph3n Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Good stuff Cal. How's the ride quality over bumps? The Teins work great on the track, but sometimes it does feel a bit rough on the pot hole filled roads.
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted December 2, 2006 Author Posted December 2, 2006 Ride is firm but not crashy..........I would describe it as pliant. Steering feel is dampened at low speeds but at 30mph plus it feels way more responsive. They are gonna send me the geo settings print-out in the post Cost for springs was £165 for springs ( but got SIDC discount of 10% ) plus two hours labour @ SIDC rate ( £90) + VAT. The Geo set up was £89 Peter - see you up there brother [H] CGS
STi_Bandit Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 NIce one Cal, sounds like a good investment those springs [], are you going to post up before and after pics show the difference in the drop? Bandit

~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted December 2, 2006 Author Posted December 2, 2006 NIce one Cal, sounds like a good investment those springs [], are you going to post up before and after pics show the difference in the drop?Bandit Yeah I will try and take some.......even with the PFF7's filling the arches it was kinda sitting high before. I had a full compliment of people in the car today and it still handled nicely although the mats were rubbing around like a teenager dry riding ! CGS

jcscoob Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Good stuff Cal the wife got the very same setup done to her blobeye a month or so ago, all i can say is wot a diffrance not sure if you notice it so much because the wrx's are a bit baggy to start with, but once prodrive has had its wicked way it was like a diffrant car ........ ALL GOOD [y][] I was gonna ask for a pik, you know like the one of your car away up in the hills but then i thought its a bit far for you to go for one pik ............. So i saved you the trouble [] BTW - im new to this photoshop thing so its a bit ropey !!
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted December 2, 2006 Author Posted December 2, 2006 Hey hey.............nice one JC.............not far off it to be honest. The car is sitting way lower then I expected. My wife is away with my camera today but I wil try and get a pre & post shot I need to get a copy of PhotoChop myself - very versatile package although MS Paint suffices for "Winstons" CGS
