drb5 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 You'll be lucky if your block only needs a hone and your crank will most definately need replacing.
the squiggle Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Uprated fuel pump and regulator 550cc or preferably 740cc injectors AVC-R Boostcontroller Porting of the headers or preferably a set of decent aftermarket items Decent induction Uprated MAF sensor Decent Intercooler of the front mounted variety Lag all your exhaust parts Fit Exhaust Gas Temp sensor to the up pipe Vent crank and cam breathers to atmosphere then when your gearbox craps itself a Phase 2 box or preferably an uprated gearbox and clutch then when your car starts to suffer from fuel starvation under half a tank, a custom swirl pot setup
RA Dunk Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Quote then when your car starts to suffer from fuel starvation under half a tank, a custom swirl pot setup mines been having serious problems when below half a tank, does the custom swirl pot set up cure this ?
the squiggle Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Yes it will, not cheap but very effective There is cheaper Heath Robinson type methods available but i would go for a decent swirl pump set up
RA Dunk Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 gonna look into that then, maybe santa will bring me one []

wilky Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 You wont know until its looked at, a new crank isnt that dear, you could get it treated to make it even harder as well, if your crank is gubbed and you need to use it a regrind and acl oversized bearings is a good move. Dont listen to any horror stories I know many people who have done it to good effect and no dramas. Callum
