bigal024 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Guys, would fitting an HKS de-cat downpipe make any difference over the prodrive kit that my STi has fitted already? Cheers, Al
diffbuster Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Downpipe will make a huge difference most people recomend bellmouth type though h.k.s one apparently restricts wastegate opening.
bigal024 Posted November 13, 2006 Author Posted November 13, 2006 Will things start to break if you dont?
RS Grant Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 You're running a much larger risk of something going wrong if you dont re-map it mate... Cheers, Grant
fai17 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Will things start to break if you dont? It all depends whether you run OB and whether you drive your car hard or not.... Better to be safe than sorry so a remap after a decat downpipe would be best.
scooby222 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 hi Al, you would notice a difference but i dont think it would be a huge one as youl have the hi flow sports cat as part of the prodrive kit. and bear in mind that youl need to swap the cat back in come mot time. you trying to sneak an advantage over us []
steven_williams Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Save your money m8 and just get plastered. You missed a good run out yesterday. I am finished in MTMS in acouple of days so unfortunatly my old suspension has gone. When you back up here?
