mctwistuk Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Can anyone tell me if you need to fit a fuel pressure regulator on a blobeye WRX if i was thinking about changing the turbo to a bigger one and also getting it remapped? this is just hypothetical of course.
st3ph3n Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 You should fit a better fuel pump. Not sure about the regulator though.
mctwistuk Posted November 4, 2006 Author Posted November 4, 2006 will have a walbro 255 fuel pump and sti pink injectors fitted. Well hypothetically thats what the setup would be.
craig mac Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 IMHO i would, and i did get one fitted My fuel pressure is around the 3.5 bar mark Best to have a look on here [] Or call him www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk
WUZ Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 TBH - the Bugeyes ecu can control the voltage level to the Fuel Pump and hence control the pumps output looking ofr more than around the 360 mark, it would be a good idae to get one. Less than that, run the OE one but reverse the fuel flow path. EITHER WAY, UPRATE THE FUEL PUMP! and remember that WRX380cc injectors are going to limit TOP END power! Russell
mctwistuk Posted November 5, 2006 Author Posted November 5, 2006 i am going to be looking for upgraded injectors and was thinking about STI pink ones. I have a walbro fuel pump on order which will hopefully arrive later this week. What do you mean by reverse the OE fuel path flow? It is a blobeye i have. Do i still need to do the above???
