Well this is not my normal type of post and i thought long & hard as to posting this but with the hype following F1 this weekend i think we should remember some heroes of F1 from years gone by and who paid the ultimate price for their love of the sport

Brought a tear to my eye [] you only remember the really famous ones though but they all died doing what they love the most.

I remember watching the qualifying when Roland Ratzenberger(sp?) died, i couldn't believe what i had just seen. I didn't think anything else could overshadow that weekend and then Senna died during the race, it turned the F1 upside down. I'm glad that in the footage they do remember Roland as everyone only seems to remember Senna passing away.

The only decent thing to come out of this is the car safety and technology behind it that we each enjoy today and that protects us and our families.
