Monkey Boy
Rabbit...we all 'play' from time to time but maybe this will help us all think a bit........... from MLR (Darkside has been infiltrated..one for the Rebelion) well, a friend of a friend is in a LOT of trouble with the police. he's 21 and has clean liecence and is a nice chap. anyhow, 2 weeks ago on his way home in his civic couple (1997) he was over taken by a brand new civic going VERY FAST, so he gave a little chace and couldn't really keep up. the new civic flew past a old boy in a volvo and onwards towards a notourious section of road (Lynham Banks, very steep with harsh corners) my friends friend over took the old boy in his volvo and continued after the new civic but was a way behind by now. half way down the banks he past on coming traffic, by now the new civic was gone. got to the bottom of the hill and saw the civic crashed in a field. pulled his car up and ran to the car, opened the door and the driver of the civic fell out, stone dead covered in blood. he called the emergency services and they came out. the old boy in the volvo stoped, told the police his story, the cops arrested the guy and are now prosecuting him for dangerous driving and racing. the cars that he past on the way down the hill comfirm that he was not racing but was going quickly. he car has been impounded, they're checking his clocking off time at work and so on. the futures not bright for him at the moment. hard times! Latest.... well, the chap as now got his car back from the impound. over 2 weeks they had it. testing the engine, the suspension and so on. all was perfectly ok and un-modified. the insurance company was informed by the police to check it all matched up. the police went to his work, got his clocking off time and calculated that his average speed from work till the accident was well within the limits for all speed restrictions he went through. (he drives steady most of the time) BUT they are still pursueing the 'death by dangerous' as it is the max they can go for, if that fails, they can get a dangerous driving and so on. basically its a case of work from the top. all evidence shows my friends friend wasn't doing anything more than driving quickly, just in the wrong place at the wrong time. the courts will have to decide on it though. Makes you think doesn't it! Link to comment
