gus the bus Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Guys, Someone I know with a Newage Wagon was gonna fit a cat pipe to their car along with the de-resonated centre section and Prodrive back box but unfortunately the thread on the o2 sensor is stripped[] Anyone got any idea what the cost of a replacement sensor will be? Cheers Gus
the squiggle Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 I think the rear one on a New Age car is the narrowband sensor. Unknown as to price but it will be cheaper than the other sensor in the up pipe which is a wideband unit. No chance of redoing the thread on the sensor or tack welding it into place as a last resort or.......the rear one might be the wideband and the front one is the narrowband. Sorry could not be much more use but best advice would be make sure he is sitting down when the dealer quotes the price
gus the bus Posted October 16, 2006 Author Posted October 16, 2006 Cheers Grant[Y] Looks like it was double threaded in the factory[] dont know if he will have any warranty comeback since he was going to fit an aftermarket part!!!? Thread is facked![] Gus
z1000 Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 I know spark plug and sump plug threads can be helicoiled, sure a good engineer can do something.
