Andy UK300 Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 people always say to me my car is a ned car, and a few folk wlaking past it 2night while i was outside one of the clubs in edinburgh said "check the ned mobile etc" now how can my car be a ned car? there was only ever 300 made...and they are way out the price range of any ned i know lol. really ****ing pisses me off when people refer to my baby as that!!!
wrxmania Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Its' because some "neds" can buy them now @ £2k + - however, there are many so called "neds" who could splash out £27k on a new one in a sniff. Its' all about attitude. I would ignore them - they don't know much about the cars. Unless you have all the neds adornments on your car - whatever they may be...[]
Andy UK300 Posted October 14, 2006 Author Posted October 14, 2006 think people see gold wheels and just think ned car...seems silly tho as there are plenty more 30k scoobs out there than there are 2k ned bangers. my toher rant for 2night is im gona start running over drunk ****s who just wlak off accross the road as they please not looking for traffic.
scoobyiain Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Def not a ned car mate, people who say those things are just jealous of what you have. I get commented about my RS all the time, people saying it's an old banger. Just because it's 18 years old doesn't make it a banger. There is no rust on it and has never been welded, it's in better condition than some newer cars i have seen going about. Ignore it mate
cullenmin Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I would ignore the people who think it is a ned car, people at my work call it a boy racer car, hmmm, if I wanted a boy racer car then I would have bought a saxo, as for drunk f*cks, they p*ss me off as well so I try to stay away from clubs etc! In fact I was at Montrose a while back, stopped outside the links hotel wednesday nite disco to meet a mate and some random just got in the back! I just looked at him and said "fit the f*ck you dein?" my mate then came over and told him to get out! total random like! Rich
scoobyiain Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Yeah you get idiots like that in montrose. Glad i have a 3 door at the moment
cullenmin Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 those child locks should have a setting for the outer door handle aswell to keep the children out[] Rich
scoobyiain Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Why don't you invent drunk locks and make a fortune. My alarm locks all doors and boot as soon as ignition is switched on so no-body can get in.
cullenmin Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 drunk locks, lol thats a good ene![] I've just got th standard alarm and immob so no "drunk lock" mechanism installed [] Rich
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Putting things in perspective your average public goon is satisfied with a dull form of transport. Therefore anything remotely chavvy looking is branded " neddy". To be honest our cars stick out like a stonar on a daschund. Unless you are into rally cars they DO look ridiculous. However, as we all love them we are slightly tainted ( but we are still right []) So the noisiest and most obvious cars that the cruisers drive is likely to be the one that sticks in the publics mind. Gold wheels complete the Jimmy Saville look too in the public eyes. I don;t think they are a neds car but I can see why a 2k clapped out import driven by a young guy is percieved as a bam mobile CGS
gus the bus Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Generally ignorance and envy[] some C@nt @ my work yesterday accused me of being a boy racer FFS[:@] I explained I was a performance car enthusiast who liked motorsport and didnt have any Chav gear. And unlike boy racers could afford to buy the car and insure it properly...........and I'm 37 FFS. .........and that was someone that should have know better[] Gus
st3ph3n Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I've been accused of being a hooligan at times, but rarely a ned or boy racer.
jcscoob Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I would say its not the car that is "ned" its the driver, wither it be a nova or an enzo ! []
