Rossco_ Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I was just having a wee rake about flat4online.com and noticed theor good deals on FMIC's, anyone bought one of these? I was reading their spiel about fitting and so on, it says that a bit of trimming needs to be done, how much chopping are we talking here?? Also it mentions that the airbox gets ditched and an induction kit gets used, as induction kits are generally detrimental to MAF health whats the crack wi that? Is there a decent one to be used?? Also any othe rlinks to on-line shops would be most appreciated especially one that sells tein coilovers Cheers guys Ross
WUZ Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Take it your keeping her now M8! Not many positive comments about the Flat-4 stuff ( I have never used it myself) but I believe it is basically a very close version of the Hybrid FMIC ( if you know what I mean). Induction wise, K&N is preferred but avoid the Blitz ( BBBBBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDD filtration!) and you know my views on HKS and Hot-Film MAF's[] Russell
Rossco_ Posted October 12, 2006 Author Posted October 12, 2006 Yeh, shes staying man, got myself a wee run about so now i can go a bit crazy. So whats the goss then Russ, your a highly respected member of the subaru fondling crew, you know your stuff, could you send me a pm with some options mate id like to know where i can go from here, an Andy F remap is on the cards soon but where else can i play about with Ooooooh, excitement
rossyboy1 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Apexi do good induction kits aswell. List is endless for your car Ross! FMIC, headers, injectors, turbo, re-maps, AVC-R, heat management etc. At least you have an excellent base to start from, so shouldn't need to spend massive amounts to get great gains.
Rossco_ Posted October 12, 2006 Author Posted October 12, 2006 Sweet as man, been a long time since i seen you floating about here man, hope you and the weapon are doing good, i see you on north andy drive now and again but your always in your own wee world Regarding all the bits, yeh from trawling sites and stuff ive seen that there is a mass amount of stuff you can purchase for thy subaru, my main query is where to start like, any advice from your good self??
Auldy Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 ad go for the Apexi induction kit if ordering from flat4online am sure they do the package with the FMIC, Apexi induction and HKS bov for £550, mite b wrong tho??? but if so a thot was a gd deal
rossyboy1 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Yeah I'm more of a scoobynet dweller and just pop over here briefly every so often. I'll leave Wuz to advise on where to go with yours as I've come at the modding from a more humble WRX [] His car is nigh on identical to yours without the mods. My car was going great, but then the weather turned not so good so thats it until next spring. The trusty modeo has been set free once again! I've seen you on the drive occasionally, but you cant blame me for being in my own world at pre 8am!
