october 96 ver 3 sti wagon white. basic mods, zorst, filter,gauges. good condition bodily and mechanically. 45000miles approx. sensible prices...i am a motor trader first and foremost so wont offer too much as its not in my nature but cant find too much info on these bad boys ! GF8D5ED is the engine code so is a ver 3 sti wagon. engine code also says its a v-limited !!

i am a motor trader lol ! its against my nature to offer book price ![] but yes i would agree if its as nice as i have been told . i always err on the side of caution as i might need to spend upto £500 on paint/body/mechanics etc. but if i dont then its a bonus !! there isnt a lot of these about so its hard getting info on here and other sites. maybe no one knows any more than i have stated already(lays down the gauntlet). who knows.

looks like its been repaired before. Could just have had areas sprayed to tidy it up though. or it could just be picture.

Is the car in question a fresh import and unregistered?  have you had time to check it over mechanically?inspection of body work, ect, Any tax and mot? any history? have you had test a drive in it?

What sort of condition are the brakes, tyres, clutch, I think to cap yourself to neading to spend 500 quid if neaded is a bit hasty, I would certainly keep an open mind with regards to amount to spend if neaded, well a lot more than £500 anyway.

But at 3k just way up what will nead spent on it against what its worth on a private sale, to reach its money all the above I have mentioned will nead to be in tip top condition.

Its your 3k, are you a gambling man? if so, buy it.

not been painted as far as i know. auction grade 4(was told)running fine and all paperwork is available. i know the importers and have an account with them as ive had three cars from them before but i cant make it down for the sale. i could only find two of these on ebays completed listings and virtually no spec list. just wanted to know a bit more about them before i put an offer in but ive done that now as 6pm was the deadline. wont find out till after 1pm ish tomorrow now. so value ???

Any other STi wagons i've seen have been around £4-£5 k.

have just emailed the company to reduce my bid to £2000 just to be cautious. i have asked for more spec and condition of drivetrain and full body report. so downside is i might not get it but upside is if i do at 2000 then i have got it plenty cheap enough to do the odds and sods that it might need . but not optimistic at this money tho' as my type ra made £3600 on ebay which is a grand shy of the going rate for a car of that spec at least ! ho hum ! wait and see time !
