XBX Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 Can someone point me in the right direction! [*-)] I am thinking of taking Andy to Nurburgring for his Birthday next year (May/April time) but I havent had much joy from looking on the Internet with regards to weekend trips / packages. Any suggestions as I see that some of you have the stickers in your windows and Im being lazy really!! Your help is appreciated. [*] Hayley x
granby Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 I know Cornelius from the ESC arranged a trip to the ring this year so it might be worth sending him a PM on scoobynet, also i would post this in the Track Days and National Events section as there are a few members who make the trip regularly [Y] Ian
tony_cousins Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Best just to go over and enjoy yourself i think, although early spring may not be the best time to do the ring for the first time [] with it being wet and slippery [] maybe you should wait untill the weather is a little better just in case something happens. The ring does not forgive those who are not ready and many people who attempt it when the weather is not great have mishaps. I for one am looking at going nest summer so maybe we could get the club together for a RING TRIP ????
mick_weatherill Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Ill pass on a RING trip if ya dont mind !![]
tony_cousins Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Ill pass on a RING trip if ya dont mind !![] Unlike you to pass on it []

T123VOR Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 The ring is not to be entered into lightly It is a delicate thing that must be prepared for and not gone into headfirst![:'(] I would practise on something smaller before entering- take it slowly and remember- slow in and fast out but once you get the rhythym going you'll be asking why you never entered the ring earlier?[*-)] I personally have never entered the ring... Hayley- joking aside I 'd love to go but wouldnt be able to help you- Steve (he's called nevetas on Essex scoobies goes every other week so if anyone knows he would!! search for him on scoobynet and pm him he's a really nice bloke) Trevor
