Pele Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 OK, as there wasn't a lot of response regarding the Christmas meal, perhaps we could try something different and have a Chinese instead? Some suggestions on a venue that is reasonably central to all of us would be appreciated, the sooner the better and preferably an eat as much as you want (for the hungry ones lol[] )
granby Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 To be honest that sounds like a better idea [Y], the only dates i could make would be the 9th & possibly the 23rd, i have no idea where though [:$]
dunks Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 I couldnt do the original date but im free on the 9th or the 16th, A chinese sounds great but like Granby not sure on venue,
baser999 Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Weekends are pretty much out for December [] - working on 1/2/3 and 8/9/10...busy on 16/17. Guess I'm out of this years plans.
tony_cousins Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 The chinese at Nott Cutts is very good and they can seat a fair few people too [Y]
tony_cousins Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 So is this going to be another another year where we dont have a x mas meal or are people going to give us some feed back etc Is anybody actually interested in the x mas meal or not ????

tony_cousins Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Quoted by Granby Then somewhere in between 1st - 22nd Dec a KentScoobies Christmas meal - please be a bit more positive this year folks!!![][] No one interested then ?????

tony_cousins Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Just a few ideas on venues then. 1. Nott ~Cutts - right next to the pub 2. NC rev - In Gravesend town center ( each what you want and help yourself ) 3. China China - Gravesend again ,eat as much as you want but your served 4. Chatham high street cant remember the name I have tried them all and they are all great, although the NC Rev one has a private function room and maybe we could book this ??? cheers Tony
vickyk Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 The one in Chatham is Cosmos and we been there a few times with family gatherings ect, food is nice but they do tend to like you to eat and then go so not good if you want to chill out, unless we went late and had the table all night. Plus the chavs will have a field day with a car park full of scoobies!! I like the idea of notcutts as thats central to everyone and easy to get too plus lots of parking for us all.
granby Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Quote I like the idea of notcutts as thats central to everyone and easy to get too plus lots of parking for us all. I agree [Y]
tony_cousins Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Only problem with Nott Cutts is that it is not a eat all you want, which means you have to eat what you order and if you like to mix your food then it will become expensive [] But im happy to go with the flow Tony
