derek_robertson Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 For those who didn't manage out of their pits early, there was an Historic Rally taking place before the trackday. I thought some of the older brigade might like to take a trip down memory lane[][] Some modern machinery now!!! Ferrari lawnmower!!!

st3ph3n Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Hope your mate's alright Col. What event was the accident in?
col666 Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Accident was in the 2nd XR2 race, Iain Fraser was leading when I think he was clipped by 2nd place guy just after the bridge resulting in him hitting the tyre wall and rolling very heavily, Iains brother Scott and there dad was also in the race. Iain and scott are marshalls and instructors at knockhill so know them quite well, it took about 20mins to get him out the car as you cant chop the roof off because of the cage. They had to unbolt the seat and take him out the boot before putting him in the ambulance, he was in a neck brace and on oxygen but was conscious. Fingers crossed he will be ok, hopefully just concussion and a lot of bruising. Worse thing was his mum and sister were in the crowd and saw the whole thing, i missed it as i was at the bottom of duffus but saw a tyre about 50ft in the air!
gus the bus Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Holy sh*t[] sounds like a nasty one. Hope he's OK Col. Gus
