twentytwobee Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Would be interested on putting the 22B on a power run at Wallace Performance as its handy being in Aberdeen. From the website I see that its basically £50. Without getting contraversial is this wise or should I go elsewhere? Whats the guestime for the cars BHP as it sits with only an standard ecu, stainless exhaust and an uprated fuel pump???? I think 276 was the official figure so hopefully at least that!
twentytwobee Posted October 4, 2006 Author Posted October 4, 2006 Oh and full off V-Power! if that makes any difference?
Rossco_ Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Not for me personally but see what other peeps say mate

twentytwobee Posted October 4, 2006 Author Posted October 4, 2006 The car has been Sorn'd since May as I have another car I run in Summer so I hope not or ill have to speak to the window fitters I had in at the time! I am taking it to the Tour of Mull rally (spectating of course!) next weekend and was hoping to find out if it was at its best for such a great long drive. I guess you only hear the bad stories about these rolling road places but I was not keen on any tweaking unless the car starts to really need it.
philip_wilson Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Why go elsewhere if its just for a power run?? your car will only go bang if it has an engine problem and that can happen on any rolling road, B road, motorway Ect when giving it some. I'm away to see them this afternoon about a power run just as a bench mark before my mods go on. I'll say you get 285 and I'll get 260 from my standard MY99 UK Turbo [] Phil Edit I think WP charge £50 and Japerformace is £55 but phone Simon @ Japerformace to confirm his price as I'm sometimes wrong
craig mac Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Quote Edit I think WP charge £50 and Japerformace is £55 but phone Simon @ Japerformace to confirm his price as I'm somertime wrong FPMSL[:'(] Sometimes? CraiG

twentytwobee Posted October 4, 2006 Author Posted October 4, 2006 Booked power run at WP next week. Ill let you know how I get on. Hopefully there will be no surprises.
rossyboy1 Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Its the bit that you run a 22B in the winter that I cant get over. Most of us would cherish one and I wouldn't let it near any nasty salty roads. The joys of being loaded I suppose! []
twentytwobee Posted October 4, 2006 Author Posted October 4, 2006 I run the 22B in April/May then another car in the Summer and the 22B back in October/November. I only use it fine days and normally wash it after every run depending on the conditions. Trust me, its cherished, thats why I am a bit weary of a power run/tweaks wrecking it!
Gumball Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 i think you should leave the power runs and think "Its a 22b, thats enough !!"
Little H Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Quote i think you should leave the power runs and think "Its a 22b, thats enough !!" With you on that one....22b were not worthy
dipsy Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Are you going to stick a bottle of octane booster in the tank before rolling road session??
twentytwobee Posted October 4, 2006 Author Posted October 4, 2006 I am happy with the performance of the car and simply want to find out what its figures actually are. Some people are of the opinion that the standard BHP figure is a minimum, that would be nice! Ill just fill it with V-Power as I am fairly sure some documentation from the previous owner mentioned a UK fuel remap.
craig mac Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Just put it away, please. No, good luck and take your pick either Russ @ Wallace or Simon @ Japerformance for your power run mate Be sure and post up your figures charts etc on completion, oh and some pictures DROOL DROOL CraiG
Rossco_ Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 Aye, lets see some snaps, 22b's are the ultimate scoob
twentytwobee Posted October 5, 2006 Author Posted October 5, 2006 Pics taken in May 06 attached. And Ill see if I can get a couple when its on the rolling road next week. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f301/nig.../22brhsrea3.jpg Nigel
twentytwobee Posted October 16, 2006 Author Posted October 16, 2006 Just an update> Wallace Performance turned out fine and the 22B turned out even better. 296 BHP from a car with little modification other than a decat exhaust. The car had a full tank of V-Power with no additives included. I am happy with that and it will stay the way it is as there is plenty power for what I use it for.
philip_wilson Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Good stuff m8 oh well I was 11bhp out. I'm hoping to see Russs next week for my power run well thats if my car passed its mot. Pheeel []
