Sh17 mate your having a rough time, if your getting a pressure build up, i wouldnt have thought it would be a head gasket, could be a blockage.

How bad is the pressure?

pressure is fierce........building up so much that its going straight to the overflow and pushing the top open.........i`ve bled it 4 times, had the thermostat out......tried alsorts............ the biggest problem is i need the car for job interviews.......still had no money from the dole.........so cant afford to have it repaired.............

Very sad times for you mate, fingers crossed you get sorted soon.

A blockage in the cooling water circuit would not result in significant over pressure since the pump is centrifugal even if the pipes were completely blocked the pressure deliverable by the impellor is finite, and relative to the RPM, i.e. the pressure can not continue to rise. Since the only other source of pressure is from the combustion side a gasket fault seems likely.

Not good news, hope you get sorted.

Sure you'll have tried this but have you dipped the oil to check to see if there's any water in it, looks like a sludgy mess on the dipstick, the colour of Baileys

tried everything i can think of....even the dipstick....its clean,as paul said the only thing left to check is the head, because the pressure is building up,it may be enough to bypass any break in the gasket......me thinks...
