Alan-G Posted September 22, 2006 Author Posted September 22, 2006 Hi 4hero, How did you link the pic from flyingsites directly onto SS ? I see the properties are from FlyingSites but how did you display it mate. Thanks in advance. Alan.
ANDYJDMSTI Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Quote Why do I get the feeling that I will never have anything other than a WRX ever again? That is until you get passengered in or drive an STI []
Alan-G Posted September 22, 2006 Author Posted September 22, 2006 Quote Did he deliver it to the wrong house ) No, he took it off the van a couple of doors up as we have a mental next door neighbour that complains about everything if it's in front of his house. Get this, we had to install a security camera back and front of the house to warn this 6" firefighter to back off with his threats. He actually - believe it or not - Threatened my wife Jen. (She's 5 foot nothing and weighs 8 stone) that God help her if he got his hands on her. He got charged - well twice as he tried to break in one time. Bet the new Scooby pisses him off 'cos he's got a corsa. Alan. ps. After Jen getting a shot of the WRX - she's hooked too. F*** she wants a forrester now [] Is that bad news or just a wallet-ache?
frank c Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Maybe we should all pop round for a visit.. Do you think the noise might pi$$ him off
ANDYJDMSTI Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Quote Maybe we should all pop round for a visit.. Do you think the noise might pi$$ him off Now there is a good idea, i'll back up to his door and blow it off the hinges [] He obviously has nothing better to do with his 4 days off the lazy sh1t!!!!
oobster Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Sounds like your neighbour is a brainless idiot Alan. New car looks good - hope you have many miles of happy motoring with it [Y]
vicki Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Car looks a cracker [Y] Neighbours .... don't get me started .... I want to come round and knock your neighbours block off [:@] [:@]
4Hero Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Alan, to post a photo do this (but without the spaces) [ i m g ] h t t p : / / w w w . y o u r s i t e . c o m / y o u r i m a g e . j p g [ / i m g ] [Y]
Alan-G Posted September 22, 2006 Author Posted September 22, 2006 I'll give it a go 4hero. Looks like the usual BBc codes I'm used to on flyingsites. Might post a piccy of our neighbour leering over the fence too. Looks like it worked! All 220mph from that jet. (now deceased) Alan.
Alan-G Posted September 22, 2006 Author Posted September 22, 2006 Sorry to come straight back in. But this new Scoobie is Frea*** quite unbeliveable. It's tight, but yet not, it's got the naturalo Subaru grunt/noise, the wife (Fab1 - i'm now told as she has now joined SS) loves it and wants a Forrester, has/is going to leave me bankrupt. Any help with financing and funding is more than welcome at this precarious stage are welcome. Donations@paythewife.co.uk are really a sought after resource right now. Ps, the site doesn't exist yet - I'm WRXing on it though. Alan.
wrxmania Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Your neighbour sounds like he could do with a nice SIDC meet outside your house - a barbeque maybe??? Or - get yourself a full decat Blitz Nur Spec-R - then he'll know all about it [] Brian []
Alan-G Posted September 22, 2006 Author Posted September 22, 2006 Quote Your neighbour sounds like he could do with a nice SIDC meet outside your house - a barbeque maybe??? Or - get yourself a full decat Blitz Nur Spec-R - then he'll know all about it [] Brian [] This is all new to me Brian, I have a lot to learn, BBQ AT MY BIT ? YES... Any takers for the ' Noise - fest ' in or around the Airdrie region ?
vicki Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Oh yes, a noise fest sounds good. I have a new exhaust you know [6]
craigwrx Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Quote I fly model aircraft too (sad git) but one I had was a twin jet engined MiG29 (miniature Jet engines which run on Jet-A1 fuel and could rev to 136,000 RPM - over 2000 spins a second) which was destroyed in our house fire. The cost if the MiG was close to the price of the WRX and could do almost 100mph faster than the scoobies top speed.Later I'll arrange a link to a pic of the MiG - if anyone is interested that is ! Wife's away for a shot (That'll mean I need to buy another one []) Nothing sad about the model aircraft mate, i was racing the buggies for a few years ...always wanted a shot at the aircrafts though, but basically at the time funds became an issue. The MiG is just awsome, would have loved to have seen that flying .. Hope your enjoying car Save driving ..CraigPs... BQ / ' Noise - fest ' sounds good to me
4Hero Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 yeah Alan, thats is one big model [] nothing to be embarrased about [] here's my toys, not planes but hey, good fun all the same.. The black one is my favourite, Schumacher Nitro Fusion, hmmmmmm I look forward to seeing photos of your new car!
Alan-G Posted September 22, 2006 Author Posted September 22, 2006 Try here for some Nice R/C cars. I think one is an Evo - thats a bad word. []
Fab 1 Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Well it's great to be a member of the forum! What can I say Alan's new Subaru is just superb. Took it for a spin last night and couldn't believe how it drove. Everything from the looks of the outside of the car to be in Austin Powers words......as 'Shaguar', to the interior is so comfy. The seats are great. Can't get used to the Huge scoop at the front. Couldn't also believe the amount of heads the car turned! To be honest I never really liked the Subura that much, now.........my goodness I WANT ONE! or the Forester either or will do ! Looking forward to speaking with you all on the forum. Would be very grateful if anyone could tell me how I go about uploading an avatar to my profile. Alan left early this morning for a 'wee' test drive. Four hours later, he still driving LOL!
micra_wrc Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 welcome Fab 1 - I take it you are Alan-G's wife then? loving your choice of user name [] you're lucky that the seats in the new ages can be raised up and down - i need to sit on a cushion to see over the bonnet scoop of my car, and its a smaller scoop than yours!
RA Dunk Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 hows about 40 of us turn up at yours some time to pi$$ yer neighbour right off [] you need to be a full member to get the avatar, totally worth joining though []
craig mac Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ AM IN ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^[] Craig
craigwrx Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Count me in, but sadly if blue thunder is there, u will not hear mine [] Craig Oh and welcome aboard Fab 1 [Y]
Alan-G Posted September 22, 2006 Author Posted September 22, 2006 The scooby is AMAZING ! Did 100 miles today and it was effortless. Silly question, but how do you become a full member? And yes, Fab 1 is my other half []
st3ph3n Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 http://shop.sidc.co.uk/index.cfm?cat_id=2 - In there. Well worth it for the excellent quarterly magazine, stickers for the car, discounts at dealerships for servicing etc., discounts at a few suppliers for parts when you mod it. Not if, WHEN. Also the general sense of well-being and self satisfaction that comes from being in the SIDC, recently crowned winning car club, on track, off track and combined at the Crail Ultimate Car Club Challenge.
Fab 1 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 hey thanks for the welcome guy's! Yup Alan's other half. Glad you like the forum name Micra WRX [] I did try to register as Jen, but after 3 attempts and an e-mail to the admin I was told it had already been taken....in my defence I am blonde so not too good when it comes to PC stuff. [] Subura was spectacular today, however as I am now the very proud owner of Alan's Hyundai Coupe and I do have to say I love it! Always loved the Coupe, it is superb. One question though, how on earth does it take Alan over 1 hour to 'scoot' down for some shopping at the shop just down the road, only used to take 10 mins.......[] Just out of curiosity is there a family membership? not too keen on spending £70 as we are both on the site! Money is always short after buying a new subaru, young family and wife back to being a student........[] Jen
