Andy F Remap?

Recommended Posts

After my disapointment at being unable to really pull away from my mates slightly modded Civic Type R, I have decided I need more power!!

Andy F remap seems the way to go.  Was looking for some advice.  I have a MY00 Classic.  Standard except for mid section decat and 3.5" magnex exhaust.  So the questions are:

What sort of increase in power can I expect?

I have always been wary of putting to much power on the engine and something breaking.  Is this something to be concerned with?

Any opinions appriciated.[:(]

Bloody civic type R's I raced one at crail last weekend that has a supercharger and nos and it kick my ass [:P][:'(].

As for power increase just don't go to mad and the engine will be fine if it's been well looked after. I'm away to put on a bigger turbo, sti intercooler, full decat and other bits and bobs and Andy F remap (still to book) so looking at getting a good old power boost and still have a car I can use every day.

As an ex owner of a CTR they are not to be underestimated................they make shite torque but if you work the box hard you can keep up with many a Scoob.

My video site has footage of me smokin' a few SIDC members at Knockhill ( some in the wet). I even have some footage somewhere of me forcing Willy to move over after some high speed cornering [:P]

agree with Frank on that one, BHP figure is great pub talk but having a great torque figure is what really counts, to feel the body getting pushed into the back of the seat [:o] having a great torque figure is great for those Scottish roads and the twistys blasting from corner to corner.
