been looking at upgrading my ecu im my 93 wrx import and looked at a couple of higher specd scoobs and one in particular from an sti its a v9 will this plug in?

what would be a good one to go for?

iirc sti`s have different wiring loom from normal scoobs. if yours is 93 wrx import it probably has z4 which is regarded as having best factory map. If you want to improve things think it will be apexi route unless you want to cheat and use something crude like hks fcd.

meant to add on a budget so was looking at getting something off a higher specd car which is mappable.

I would still say go for the Apexi, price from Andy F's web

site for the APEXI Power FC ECU supplied fitted and mapped is £750. I would

think by the time you get a second hand ecu and it mapped to your car the cost

will be about the same ish if not more, that’s if it possible to use a newer ecu your car that is, I'm sure someone will be able to clarify that.

phil they have spare socket like uk ecus as well. But never read the post right. If your going to remap then theres no point buying another ecu. my point was that z4 is best factory map if u wanted to swap ecus. z4 is for td05 though.

Go for the Apexi Power FC, got mine fitted and mapped by Andy just over a month ago and it's worth every penny, and it feels like another car what a difference that man can make. [Y][:P]

Z4 will go straight in, and get one for about £100, not mappable and not worth using the spare socket imho, i got uk 7D and put chip in, from 208 bhp to 250ish bhp but Z4 is better than this..............BUT if you got the dosh then go apexi yes....well worth it.
