zeolite Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Finally the pug got a class win, overall win and fastest time of the day. Was at the Stonehaven autocross today and the pug was first and second overall. Unfortunately Foz was first and I was second.[] but then he owns half of it. Well done Lowell. First motorsport trophy. zeolite Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 Craig...That piece of Jap tech would fall to pieces at the first bump. [] Cracking day today and I have caught the sun too. Track didn't cut up so bad and the banger race at the end was hilarious.

ANDYJDMSTI Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Well done.................you got any tips you could pass onto SWRT after their performance in Rally Japan.
zeolite Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 FAO SWRT... Don't use pirelli rubber. Use Colway remoulds []

For those who don't know what autocross is about here are a couple of vids for you. http://www.aneccc-autox.co.uk/cgi-bin/ib31...ct=ST;f=5;t=133 http://www.aneccc-autox.co.uk/cgi-bin/ib31...ct=ST;f=5;t=135
scott_coull Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Well done guys, great result. Want to come co pilot on the next run Ian [] [H]
zeolite Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 bigbadboab.....No. He got beat. You think driving on a loose surface is easy. It takes skill, balls and know how. It is not like smooth tarmac driving. You have to find the traction, keep your momentum and stay out of the holes. On that track yesterday there was a big bump that one or two were getting airborne and I can tell you that when Foz and I went over it the Pugs' backend would wag side to side.

I think Boab means the fact it still has number plates on etc..... ie took a wrong turning[][] looks rather like a road going car[]
zeolite Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 Ahhh. Got the wrong end of the stick there [] A few of the stoney guys just pick up what they can and turn up on the day. All you need is a helmet and suit for yourself while the car needs a harness and handheld extinguisher (not forgetting mudflaps). £35 and off you go.
gus the bus Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Fancy a shot of this[Y]! Do you need any sort of licence ie RAC motorsports (mines expired[:$][]) Still got my rally overalls, RAC approved Helmet and Boots[]
zeolite Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 Last heat and these two got a bit close and personal Low-flying Toyota
road warrior Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 [] Congrats Ian! Are you coming down to Kelso on the 24th? Only an hour south of Edinburgh for anyone thats interested
